Big Reds Take Big Hit!

Lansing Sexton looked good in their week one 48-7 win over Holt but took a huge hit in the first quarter when senior QB Drew Valentine left the game with a knee injury. Valentine found out today that he has a torn ACL and will require surgery Tuesday. "I will be done till late December, but I'll be alright," said Valentine.

Last season Valentine broke school records in passing yards and touchdowns thrown. Before Valentine was sidelined he had completed 4 of 5 passes for 45 yards and ran twice for 30 yards.

Sexton still has a strong team and will have a successful season but it will be impossible to replace Valentine as an athlete and a leader.
