WEEK 6: Ypsilanti vs. Inkster

**Inkster's Devin Gardner throws downfield**
**Inkster's Cameron Gordon races downfield**
**Michigan State commit Donald Spencer**
**Inkster's Edjuan Penn stiff arms a defender**

Inkster- The community of Inkster really knows how to put together a homecoming celebration. The game festivities included a live band, radio DJ's, fair rides for the little ones, as well as plenty of food. The Inkster football team awarded their fans with a 49-7 man handling over Ypsilanti.

Inkster didn't waste any time scoring as Alan Freeman ran untouched 43 yards. Devin Gardner ran in the 2-point conversion for the 8-0 lead. Ypsilanti looked like they were going to make a game of it by responding with a solid drive that saw running back Dominique Lynch move the chains 60 yards down field. But once Ypsilanti got into the redzone they passed four straight times with the fourth down pass being picked off by Cameron Gordon.

Gardner gave Inkster a 14-0 lead with his 72 yard Td run. Inkster then took a 22-0 lead off of 23 yard run from Freeman. Freeman's run was set up by a 42 yard pass from Gardner to Gordon. Gardner later hooked up with Eric Williams for a 29 yard TD strike and a 2-point conversion pass to Max Engram gave Inkster a 30-0 halftime lead.

In the second half was just more of the first half as Inkster cruised to the big win.

BREAKDOWN
Inkster- I knew it was going to take a little while with all the transfers coming in but Inkster is now rolling on all cylinders. Inkster's offense is good with the ability to run and pass but its the Inkster defense that is quietly playing just as dominate.

Ypsilanti- Ypsi found success early with their run game but once they got down 14-0 they abandoned the run and just threw the ball. Once they abandoned the run they threw in the towel.

GAME MVP- Devin Gardner, Inkster- Gardner made some big plays, Ypsi was getting pressure on him but Gardner is just to big and fast. In his big 72 yard TD run, he shook off a tackler in the backfield. He later made two big pass completions while having defenders dragging him down.

Cameron Gordon, Inkster- Gordon is just too physically gifted for the high school level and he's just as good of a OLB/safety as he is a receiver. He gave Gardner a huge block 40 yards down field on the long TD run, he made a heck of a play on his INT, and his 42 catch displayed great hand-eye coordination.

Donald Spencer, Ypsi- I don't know if there was a problem but Spencer didn't line up at receiver till the second quarter but he did start at corner. Spencer did perform well once he got involved in the offense.
