PLAYOFF PREVIEW: Division 5

**Is Lumen Christi capable of returning to Ford Field?**

BREAKDOWN: While I didn't list Standish Sterling's Austin Collier in the players to watch, I do think he gives his team an edge over any Division 5 opponent. Teams like Allendale, Lumen Christi, Hillsdale, Onsted, and any of the Tri-Valley teams have a legitimate shot but they don't have Collier on their roster.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER TO WATCH: Mitchell Gabriele, Hillsdale the senior leads Hillsdale no huddle spread offense and has connected 96 of 151 passes for 1,423 yards.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER TO WATCH: Nick Madden, Ovid-Elsie the linebacker is a four year starter and has seen it all.

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH: Justin Pettenger, Freeland the sophomore is in his second year as the starting safety for the Falcons and he's a big time hitter in the secondary.

TOUGHEST DISTRICT: Region 4- District 2

TOUGHEST ROUND 1 GAME: Hillsdale at Lumen Christi- the two teams finished #4 and #6 respectfully in the A.P.'s Division 5 top 10.

UPSET BREWING: Essexville Garber over Millington- the Dukes fell loss 19-20 to Millington in week 5 after leading most of the game and it cost them the conference title, can you say- REVENGE?

SLEEPER TEAM: Freeland- a team that plays with a ton of heart

FINAL 4 PICKS: Standish-Sterling vs. Freeland and Lumen Christi vs. Allendale

FINALS PICK: Standish-Sterling over Lumen Christi

WHY STANDISH-STERLING: because Austin Collier is really that good! He does everything for his Panthers on both sides of the ball and he will show why he's Bowling Green bound.
